Michael Geschlecht Posted August 5, 2017 Share #21 Posted August 5, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Michael, You are correct. Vulcanite is a proprietary vulcanized rubber. Goodyear. Ebonite' s biggest use was bowling balls. Also proprietary. Also Goodyear. Hello JD, And lots of other things that were durable & practical & lasted & worked well for a long time. It is 1 of those interesting instances where a synthetic sometimes works as well as or better than the natural something that it is replacing. adli Posted August 7, 2017 Share #23 Posted August 7, 2017 i love the vulcanit of my M2 and was more than happy when i found out, the m10 has the same leathering. if someone else wants to pay for other options - so what? i wont. Actually, it has not. The M2 had real vulcanit. The M10 has a modern material which has look and feels which resembles vulcanit, but it is produced in a different way.
