Advertisement Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Hi fotografr, Take a look here Just Weeds . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jmr Posted August 4, 2006 Share #2 Posted August 4, 2006 Brent, good shot; I like the way you've kept light in the foreground, rather than having it become a silhouette.
martinop Posted August 5, 2006 Share #3 Posted August 5, 2006 Like the impact of the foreground lighting creating a reverse silhouette on the weed buds / stems contrasted against the darker background. Well seen, composed and shot.
biglouis Posted August 5, 2006 Share #4 Posted August 5, 2006 Very nice shot.
stuny Posted August 5, 2006 Share #5 Posted August 5, 2006 Brent - Fabulous variation on what most others were able to do with similar subjects. The rim lighted flora against a black backround is stunning, and something that I would not think possible outside of a studio.

hm1912 Posted August 5, 2006 Share #7 Posted August 5, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Wow. I love the lighting you've got going in this photograph. It is really spectacular. How did you manage it?
fotografr Posted August 5, 2006 Author Share #8 Posted August 5, 2006 Thanks for your comments. llan--The background was already dark. It was a shadowy area, so when I exposed for the foreground this was the result. I didn't really have to do much to it in the darkroom.

andybarton Posted August 5, 2006 Share #10 Posted August 5, 2006 That's a lovely shot, but... ...but, IMHO, the out of focus horizontal seed head in the foreground draws my eye, which is a shame, because the rest is superb.
