andif1 Posted May 8, 2017 Share #1 Posted May 8, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone used the Distagon 35 mm f/1.4 on the 240? Does it matter which profile (if any) one choses?
Advertisement Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Hi andif1, Take a look here Distagon 35 f/1.4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sblutter Posted May 8, 2017 Share #2 Posted May 8, 2017 Use the nearest option, should be fine. FYI: Profiles only matter in jpg. In DNR, you're getting a raw capture, will have no effect I only shoot DNR, have lens selection set to 'Off'.

For example, the 28 Elmarit Asph is a wonderful lens but without profile it suffers sever colour casting on the edges.
jip Posted May 9, 2017 Share #4 Posted May 9, 2017 The profiles matter to DNG files too indeed... if you think thats not the case then you are wrong.
Daniel C.1975 Posted May 9, 2017 Share #5 Posted May 9, 2017 Hi, I use the summilux FLE profile, and have at least no problem with it. The lens is a bit bigger but has lovely optics and great build quality. Daniel Welcome, dear visitor! sblutter Posted May 9, 2017 Share #6 Posted May 9, 2017 RE: Profiles do effect DNR's Thanks for the correction (swear I read that somewhere) but I'm sticking to no profiles - am very happy with my results. I do a lot of PP. Every image for print or post gets a lot of work 1st. That said, will do some tests with profiles to see if there's any improvement. Thanks all! lct Posted May 9, 2017 Share #7 Posted May 9, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Profiles have little visible effect on vignetting and distortion, more so on color shifts but significant differences are hard to see from 35mm to 135mm on my M240. I don't miss them a all on my Sony A7s mod but i don't use wider lenses than 21mm. FWIW.
