Ko.Fe. Posted April 5, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 5, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) M8 was available and reviewed for sometime now, but I can't find the answer with Google. My first RF camera was FSU FED-2, which has 50mm viewfinder only without frames. I get used to it. I also knew and tried 28mm lens on M4-2 without external VF and full VF view on M4-2 is close to 28mm lens. But I can't find which focal length M8 viewfinder corresponds to. Widest frame is for 24mm. Is full viewfinder view on M8 close to 21mm?
Advertisement Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Hi Ko.Fe., Take a look here M8 VF full view corresponds to?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
tobey bilek Posted April 6, 2017 Share #2 Posted April 6, 2017 24 mm lens which on APS H is field of view of 32 mm. 35/135 is one position, 50/75 another , 28/90 another. Always There are no 135 frames on M8, so the 24 shows with 35.
a.noctilux Posted April 6, 2017 Share #3 Posted April 6, 2017 For long time I used 21mm on M8 without external finder. The whole field is more/less 22/23mm (that's fine for RF with no parallax correction) and only finder blockage at lower-right (depend on lens) may be taken into consideration. lct Posted April 6, 2017 Share #4 Posted April 6, 2017 [...] Widest frame is for 24mm. Is full viewfinder view on M8 close to 21mm? Yes more or less but don't forget to multiply by 1.33 to get the equiv. FoV. The pic below has been taken with a 21mm lens on my M8.2. Welcome, dear visitor!
