I totally agree with the call for the M10 profile, but as is, the 'DNG File neutral' does a damn good job. The result is better than the M9 with it's own profile, IMO. Of course I don't know how critical the work is that some of you do, but generally I am happy with the improvement over the M9. What does irk me is the slowness of the thumbnails display when search an SD card for the files you wish to download. I don't know if this is a card issue but other cameras with the same card type load rapidly. I think it has to do with the (lack of) support for the M10 currently.

Well, I think it does not. It is oversaturated. And if you want to adjust this you can only do this in each picture by pulling down the saturation, specially the saturation of blue. But you cannot set these adjustments as new standard for the M10 that is applied automatically when you import new DNG files from the M10. This only works for cameras that already have an own profile in C1. This seems annoying to me. But I agree that you can work with the DNG file neutral. Colours are better than in Lightroom.

Well, you could apply your own style with all kinds of adjustments during import of images to solve this issue. Nevertheless, I would like to see co to support their long-time users.

Thank you. This is an important advice for me. I have not known this possibility until now. It works.

I think that is what I am doing, inadvertently, hence my statement about the M10 colour being better than the M9. I think it is anyway, but I agree some taming is necessary.

Please Phase One, step up to support we long term users.

At higher ISO values LR automatically reduces noise in the M10 files. You cannot compare that to C1 which treats every ISO level the same way when importing the files.

I know that. Moreover, you can set up Lightroom to set own degree of noise reduction for each ISO, as I did.

I tried to match noise reduction in C1 with LR to obtain similar quality of picture, but over 1000 ISO it is not possible. The problem with C1 is the luminance noise.

Do you think you can remove noise in C1 better in files that come from a camera that is officially supported? Or is LR simply better in denoising?

I have much better noise removing on officially supoorted camera, ie. Nikon D500 and 750.

Just one point, CO noise reductin works on 100% viewing, well at least they ask you to do it that way to see the real difference. Because at 100%, the software reads the actual raw file and do the calculations, at smaller viewings, it reads the preview which is a jpeg.

I recently did a shoot with the M10 and attempted to import the images into Capture One (latest version). The dialog box shows thumbnails of all the images on the card, but C1 will only import about a third of the images. I have tried copying the images to the desktop and then importing them, but C1 still won't import them. Anyone have this problem or know of a fix?

Hi all,

So I'm pushing CO and Leica as much as I can, but as we can see there isnt any update yet. So I am kindly asking for your help, to those who uses CO to process their images, to contact with CO support and Leica for the update.

Many thanks,

Fatih

I've opened three cases with Phase One / Capture One over this during the past 4-5 months.  C1's latest reply (maybe two weeks ago) was something to the effect of "we do not discuss future development".  This is different than their past replies which said they would pass along the request and/or we should see it in a forthcoming release.

I've been using C1 for ~10 years, and if a camera isn't added in the first 6 months, the odds are that it won't be added...  I've sent emails to product / program managers at Leica too.  Received nice replies from Leica, but thus far, no fruit...

To be honest, the only thing preventing from leaving CC and moving to CO is there rather poor support for cameras I tend to own, the latest being the M10.   So as I don't yet own the software I cant help, but you can point to at least one individual is who motivated to jump from the Adobe ship, that hasn't due to the lack of support for a camera thats been publicly available for half a year now.
