If only the coat hanger and the wall could bear witness. . . .the frame of passage and passengers, their transit paused for a moment by your visit, transfixed. We can read the given and the implied: the given exterior, weathering in the world, and the implied of the interior, the history of habitation. No door?

Ernest, it was precisely the coat hanger that made me want to take that shot. I too, wondered about the people who, at the height of the cold war, were hanging their jackets and coats there. Those buildings were where bombs were stored, from the second world war onwards. The walls and roofs are very thick reinforced concrete, and there was a gantry crane inside each building, for manoeuvring the bombs. The site was abandoned in the seventies, but it's a fascinating place to wander around now.

Snapped this classic Cadillac as it passed me by on the streets of Glasgow recently. After posting the shot on Instagram, the eagle-eyed, and top street photographer David Goold (can't remember if he's on the forum) spotted that it's the actor Robbie Coltrane driving.
