In case anyone is curious about this lens, this is pretty much the same shot as above but taken at f/2.0 around 30 seconds earlier.

Shot wide open the lens is sharp in the centre but a bit fuzzy off centre. Can be a nice effect depending on the subject.

Today I unexpectedly stumbled across a 'Day of the Dead' celebration on Columbia Road, East London while on my way to a favourite caff.

There were a lot of photographers there, some from an Instagram #OnlyFilms group meet for analogue photographers, sporting a wondrous array of interesting film cameras.

Great shot. It leaves me a bit puzzled that it shows such a wide depth of field although the subject is pretty close and you obviously shot at f/1.0.

Thank you. If I remember correctly, I focussed on no. 114 in the center of the image. When I zoom in to 100pc, I can see that only the number and everything on the same plane is reasonably sharp. The rest slips into a Noctilux-like blur. In the original, it was much darker than you might think when looking at the motorbike. Shot at ISO3200 1/125s and (how else) f/1.0. It would be a waste of this lens not to shoot at f/1 ;).
