With patience and luck, good deals can be had: I stumbled on a near-mint 1990 German one for 1,500 EUR (including the hood) only 6 months ago.

My well-used Canadian one went and left me with some change...

After searching for a long while I have finally found another one which I have recently had 6bit coded and it's one of my favourites along with my 50 Summilux Pre-ASPH.

How did you get it coded? AFAIK, whilst there is a menu-selectable lens profile, there is no 6-bit code for the lens itself.

For 6Bit coding I shipped mine to Don at DAG Camera Repair see below for details;

I think it was around $200 US and several months.

He did a great job and I have recently sent him my Pre ASPH Summilux-M 50 for the same.

Highly recommended.

  • 1 year later...

Would be interesting to know why this lens isn't supported anymore in M10's manual lens selection menu

I have no experience with the M10 but it is just a bug i guess given that the lens is supported in both M240's and CL's menus.
