Surge Posted March 26, 2017 Share #21 Posted March 26, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have no problem focusing through the rangefinder on my M240 and my Noctilux. This was taken about 1 hour after I bought it, while walking! https://www.flickr.com/gp/28294768@N05/WWL26f
Advertisement Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 Hi Surge, Take a look here The versatility of the Noctilux 0.95 on the SL [image thread]. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
uhoh7 Posted March 26, 2017 Share #22 Posted March 26, 2017 You don't buy a Noctilux to compare it with charts of high res lenses. Stopped down it's a monster - I own it and the 75mm Summliux and would say it is not far off. It leaves nothing to be desired. On the contrary it gives much more. Excuse me for pointing out reality. Yes, the .95 is the greatest 50mm lens ever made in every situation. Weighs nothing, also

uhoh7 Posted March 27, 2017 Share #24 Posted March 27, 2017 I have to say, Neil, reviewing your images again, you make as good a case for the all round use of this lens as I've ever seen With the SL you don't have to fiddle for a ND filter, either. And it's true, your stopped down shots look great. SL + Nocti is a fantastic combo well beyond the blur

tom0511 Posted June 7, 2017 Share #27 Posted June 7, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) For me, if I use the Leica SL, the 50/1.4SL is the lens to go. Specially for a shallow DOF lens I find accurate AF a big benefit.
f4nest Posted October 22, 2017 Share #28 Posted October 22, 2017 I changed my M240 for the SL and the M-50lux for the Noctilux 0,95 a year ago and love that combo a great deal. Fast focusing no problem anymore. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Simon Posted October 23, 2017 Share #29 Posted October 23, 2017 I really love the colours that Noctilux produces! And of course it makes a great excuse to go bokeh hunting at night. I’m glad you found a way to bring it back into your life Neil. I tend not to like B&W Noctilux shots as much because I prefer sharper images there I think. So I wouldn’t recommend Noctilux for a Monochrom personally, but each to their own!
IkarusJohn Posted October 23, 2017 Share #30 Posted October 23, 2017 I’ve come to the same conclusion - my 50 Summilux-M lives on my Monochrom. The M primes that work well on the SL are the larger ones - 21 Summilux, Noctilux & 75 Summilux. I have been using the TL2 and 35 Summilux-TL, but I will revert to the SL/Noct combination - they just work so well together.
JCR33 Posted October 23, 2017 Share #31 Posted October 23, 2017 Mine is 1.0 V4, by adding the Novoflex Macro Adaptor, that turns my Noct into a Macro lens
