Calla Lily. I used three flashes with a plain white background. One flash on the lily front at very reduced light, one shining up trying to backlight the flower; one flash on the background. Processed in LR and PS afterwards to even out the background. Not macro. On tripod. A fun experiment. More challenging than one might think. Lot's of playing with the light to get shadows right and exposure close.

....

Like a lot of good work, the trick is to make it look so simple, though simplicity is rarely achieved in a simple way :-).  Nice job!

Love the clean and precise tonal range. What post processing technique do you use?

2 steps - first import to LR with my personal Leica import preset, then the b&w conversion was done with SilverEfexPro2.

Out of interest, which settings in Silver Efex Pro2 did you use?

Since there are so many parameters in SEP2 I have attached the preset - if you like you can import and try it. Should be the easiest way. Hope it works with importing it here in the thread.

Many thanks! I'm gradually establishing my baseline in SEP2 through trial and error, but it's always interesting to see other people's settings to see if there's something you have not tried.

I did post some B&W photos from Ostfriesland (Northern Germany) over the last couple of days on in this (and the SL image thread as well). Here is the link to the entire series, put together with Adobe's spark. The photos have been taken with the Leica SL and my Q - the two go well along and I guess on the wider angle shots you cannot really tell if they have been taken with the SL or Q. Thanks for having a look.
