Attended a "Playball" exhibit today at the Colorado History Center in Denver. The highpoint was viewing a 1952 Mickey Mantle Topps baseball card worth $9.6M. It's in perfect condition. I also got a macro shot of a Lou Gehrig MVP Player American League pocket watch from 1936. Amazing exhibit and all locally owned items by a Denver attorney.

Careful. You could be arrested for photographing top secret space vehicles. Where are these? Maybe Elon Musk new vehicles?

Nope, these are the latest space technologies stolen from the Parteigenosse Putins' Russia. :)

this is an example of what I'm really struggling with right now. Looks fine on flickr and otherwise, but when I upload these here, I've been getting these channeled skies (and the richness to the colors within the house is completely gone--but that's probably another matter). I post-processed this in Camera Raw and then Lightroom.

Never saw that before. Its great. I grew up living only a few miles from Werner Von Braun and I went to elementary school with the children of the scientists who came over with him from Pennemunde. All we knew at the time was, the kids were really smart.

It seems it gets extremely compressed when you upload it here. Have you tried to directly link the Flickr photos in the forum?

Thanks, Dimitris. Do you mean just putting the URL in here, or is there a way that the actual Flickr photo will appear here?

best,

Ken

“Our German scientists are better than their German scientists”.

You bet!  Just look at the percentage of Jewish noble laureates in Russia and across the world:  as of 2017, Nobel Prizes have been awarded to 892 individuals, of whom 201 or 22.5% were Jews, although the total Jewish population comprises less than 0.2% of the world's population. This means the percentage of Jewish Nobel laureates is at least 112.5 times or 11,250% above average.  I do believe in Newton's laws, races and classes

That's one of many Tom Leher songs I've heard so often I know every nuance.  I've quoted that one a few times.

Right after the launch of Sputnik Bob Hope commented in his monologue that he'd like to congratulate the Soviet scientists but he couldn't speak German.
