Build quality of the GX8 is excellent, very tight seams, and reminiscent of the build quality of Leica. The battery compartment lock is almost identical. (The battery is identical, I use them interchangeably in the GX-8 and the Q). Incredibly fast and responsive AF. Side by side the Q and GX-8 put my A7R and A7S to shame in terms of focus speed. Of course the OIS on my lens and the Q lens are identical. I bought the Lumix 12-35 with the body and I find the output has the same look and feel of Leica glass - although the Q has a big edge in sharpness but I'd be bloody disappointed if that were not the case(!). Like the Q, I want to pick up my GX8 and shoot with it. I don't have anywhere near the same emotional connection to my Sony bodies <sigh>.

Interesting.  So the GX8 with the f1.2 42.5mm Pana/Leica Nocticron or the f2.8 35-100mm Panasonic could make for a great travel combo with the Q......

Nice panorama! Say people: I have tried a few panoramas with the Q using the in-camera scene mode and been pleased. My question is for people who do a lot of pano shots - do you always prefer to stitch several together in post processing (LR?) or do it in camera with the scene mode?

I stitch (Autopano 3.7 on mac), didn' try really hard on the Q.

But the first attempt I made, handheld, was pathetic.

Probably with some experience I could do better, but stitchers have so much more options...

Hi.

The panorama from Louisiana is done in LR.
