Problems with the Leica M10 half-case

I’d highly recommend looking at the Arti de Mano case. It’s a bit more money, but the leather is beautiful, the stitching is gorgeous and fits like a glove. I much prefer the snaps vs. having to unscrew the case each time I remove the battery or SD card. If you’re in China, I’d be happy to sell you my “like-new” Leica M10 case

Interestingly, the black leather case fits just as it should.  The brown leather flap is thicker.

You may be right.

My case is indeed brown.

 

I did further "art work" onto the bottom extension of the flap cover (the half i split off and the other half still with the lap cover)

I managed to carefully remove the cardboard paper backing on the bottom extension piece of the flap.

Glud both halves back together.

 

I restored it "like original" and can be properly fitted to the camera.

So it just too thick because of the cardboard paper backing inserted into the bottom of the flap that causes the problem.

I couldn't get the thread to engage with the socket no matter how hard I tried. My solution, such as it is, is to remove the screw altogether. The case is very snug and won't fall off - and it's a quicker process to change battery, reach SD card etc.

Mine is brown and the flap's magnets have a problem. The back flap does not close and sit on the screen properly..

This sounds like a problem I would have due to occasional bad luck. However, my Leica half case fits perfectly and I love it.
