jenniferx Posted January 28, 2017 Share #1  Posted January 28, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Jelly Ear Fungus, Auricularia auricula-judae.  Peculiar looking stuff, grows on a lump of dead wood in my garden (where these were taken). When it is dry it shrivels up to nothing but after it has rained it takes on this appearance.  Taken with an x2 (with added leica elpro's)

fotografr Posted February 8, 2017 Share #3 Â Posted February 8, 2017 I was reluctant to open this image for fear of seeing a gross fungus growing in some animal's ear. I was pleasantly surprised. The second one is particularly nice because the frost shows up so clearly.
Michael Geschlecht Posted February 9, 2017 Share #4 Â Posted February 9, 2017 Hello Jennifer, Â Welcome to the Forum. Â Nice photos. Â Do you have any photos of the same individuals when they are dry? Are there any "in between" photos also? Â There is a "Pilz" Thread in the German section. It is called "For Pilzlovers". You might find it interesting to read & also possibly to participate in. Some people there write their captions in English. Even though it is in the German Section all of the photos are in both German & English. Â Best Regards, Â Michael
