American Heritage Museum, Hudson MA.  A curious name for an extensive and well-presented show of tanks and other field pieces from WW I through the Iraq conflict.  Some thoughtful background material is provided on the two WWs.  The collection was assembled by Jacques Littlefield, who merged it into the Collings Foundation, known for vintage military aircraft) on his death.  First two aircraft:

ME-109 in flying condition (It and several Grumman carrier fighters were flown in to the grass strip just out in back of the museum.  The rest of the Collings fleet winters in Florida.

and an American copy of the German V-1, made right after the war:

The museum has Panzers and Shermans and Sheridans, etc, but here is the most iconic field weapon of all:

Next, an amphibious VW:

and finally, an M-1 Abrams, the current model:

Despite its awesomeness (there are movies of the Abrams cruising at 40 MPH over rough ground with a full champagne glsss balanced on its gyro-stabilized gun barrel), this one returned from Iraq damaged slightly by an IED, which killed the captain and driver, both of whom were riding exposed above the turret.

Boat washed downstream/stuck on the weir in Bath, UK.  M10 28mm Elmarit M heavily cropped in post to approx what a 90mm would have seen from the same spot.

Thank you very much Aleš

I chose BW for a change and because I thought it worked a little better

In case it's of interest... in colour it looks like this

(oh and I had to stick the camera through the fence of a bridge to get the shot!)

Olla

I guess you mean... Hola ?

Because Olla in spanish translates to Cooking Pot en English 🤣

Yesterday I went on a little photo walk with the Voigtlander Nokton 35 1.4. The photos are not great but the light was kind of magical, IMHO :)

Back after a looooong M absence...

I couldn't resist. After many, many years without an M, I've just purchased an M10 and (though I still had my precious F1 Nocti and 90mm Macro Elmar for use on my CL) I had to get some glass too. So used copies of the 28mm F5.6 Summaron (first image) and the 35 Lux Asph (second image) have been acquired and both seen to be good copies.

Truth is, I just missed RF focussing. And the M10R is pretty much everything that the previous digital Ms weren't, quite, in terms of my needs.

Glad to be back. Hi Everyone.

So big long story....

Bought a summilux 50 asph secondhand off the internet at a too-good-to-be-true price.

Spent two years in denial that I'd bought a lemon, with thoughts such as maybe it's just a bit overrated and I read there was sample variation I guess mine's just at the bad end of the curve

Bit the bullet.

Sent it to Leica for a repair (so they also charged a service)

Got it back last week (two and a bit months away if you're curious)
