May I add that the lens used (also the M10 ! ) can give the nice hues of graduated colors.

 

If I remember well, in real it was "magic light" (and here we see only a modest part of it, even in larger view ).

It looks like the picture was taken from the jumpseat, in the middle behind the two pilots and behind the console with all the avionics and power levers.  So he's not flying.
