This is pure art! The light on the woman's face, the cat yawning, shadows scuttling around doing their own business ... I love it. If I shot this one, I would be extremely pleased. Congratulations, love it!

Agreed - that is an absolute belter. Definitely falls into the “Wish I’d shot that” category.

After taking the picture I posted yesterday, I walked around to the other side and took this one. Although I wasn’t trying to be stealthy, this subject didn’t see me because she was  engrossed in reading her smartphone. Just then, she got her freshly squeezed orange juice and walked away. I thought of following her, in order to take some more pictures where she worked in this mall, probably at a beauty parlor or cosmetics stand in one of the stores. I hadn’t spoken to her because then I would have had pictures that were posed, which would also be the case if I followed her to her store —  and it seemed too creepy to follow her.

First one is much stronger IMO. More frontal on the main subject and better balanced opposite her. The second shot seems to lack meaningful elements of interest.

mdemeyer - Possibly, because in the first shout you see her full face. However, the reason I took the second shot, and the reason I posted it, is that it shows the unusual nature of her outfit in the shopping mall environment that she is in. Actually, there were certain angles of view that showed the outfit much more provocatively, but I couldn't photograph that because people kept on getting n the way.
