But I will be interested when it comes available. And if it could be more like the M-D please, but keep the EVF ability. That would be great. Less is more. I agree, but Leica has used a newly developed sensor. Unless it is designed as a monochrome version at the same time, modifying the filter stack will take some time - and money. And given that the eye is far more accepting of noise in monochrome, the upper bounds of useful ISO (for me) might be as high as 19,200. Crazy-high. Interesting idea, basically increasing the exposure range of the sensor at the expense of ISO performance and possibly resolution due to interpolation.But wouldn't it just be better to have tools that can indicate when the highlights are clipping excessively?
