I am interested because they're such an interestingly and ornately decorated vault and cupola, so thank you, E. 👍 Pete.

Did you get it converted to M-Mount yourself, with rangefinder focussing? Hey, Robbie. Yes, those Trioplans are interesting - as long as you are not too fussy about edge sharpness...😉 They are obviously triplets, each with its own twist: the 50/2.9 shows bold colours and, if that's your thing, the 100/2.8 can produce 'soap bubble bokeh' in the appropriate conditions. The MOG Primoplans are more corrected (they added a doublet to the triplet IIRC) and usually better behaved. I did indeed have these converted - and RF coupled in the process, of course. I must have posted a good dozen pictures taken with this lens in this thread, but here's another, again with the Trioplan 50/2.9 V (where "V" stands for "Vergütet" i.e., coated) on the M10P ASC, probably wide open. Tpau17 Posted July 15 Share #15309 Posted July 15 I never cease to be impressed by the MeyerOptik lenses on my SL/SL2 camera bodies – my collection now comprises seven lenses: five vintage models from the 1950s and 1960s and two modern versions from 2023 (Gen.2). Each lens has its own unique character and charm. While the Trioplan lenses have already been mentioned, the Orestegor and Orestor stand out with completely different characteristics – as does the Lydith, which in turn has its own very special qualities. here a picture with the MeyerOptik-Telemegor 180mm/5.5-M42 Welcome, dear visitor! Many thanks for the reply Ecar, they do look very characterful lenses (in a good way). Perhaps I’ll try one when I get bored of my current lens minimalist phase 🙃 Edited July 15 by robbie3

farnz Posted July 19 Author Share #15315 Posted July 19 1949 Zeiss 50/1.5 Opton Sonnar with M9P. If memory serves this was shot at f/4 to avoid blowing the highlights. The lens had a little difficulty with the bright highlights but still showed the characteristic Sonnar softness in the out of focus areas. Welcome, dear visitor!
