I was really looking forward to trying the Elmarit 90 (last version) I got. The first chance came in a tricky scenario: dinner with friends in dim light. I ended up stand-developing a roll of Tri-x, not the best film for that situation, in Rodinal for 2 hours. Sharpness is definitely not there, but all the grain and grittiness somehow pair well with the expression of my friend Sara.

Leica M9 with Elmar-C 90 (much under-rated lens in my view, so much easier to carry around than the Summicron 90).

Nice creamy bokeh!

Yeah...It's the edges that never really sharpen up with these Trioplans. But they produce gorgeous colours and are great for focusing the viewer's attention on the central area of the frame, if that's what one wants. Or...to produce 'soap bubble' bokeh in the appropriate conditions! 😉

Anyway, here are two more. Same camera, lens and respective apertures as above - only a different building

I'm afraid I must invoke my right to remain silent...😇 Dozens. Rationally, I have far too many. But then, I suffer from incurable obsessive-compulsive GAS, so have become very good at post-rationalising...🤣

Old glass is fascinating - and I always seem to find something fun to try. Illustration below: very first test shot with a new (to me) lens.

Quite right too.  There's no benefit in self-incrimination, Ecar.

I'll quote Ecar ... 🤣

Men have always been hunters and gatherers, so it is deeply anchored in our genes 🙂.

At least that's what I tell my wife when she starts complaining 😁.
