Popular Post farnz Posted June 22, 2018 Author Popular Post Share #3994  Posted June 22, 2018 (edited) . When I started this thread 6 years ago I never for a moment expected it to last this long or attract 4,000 replies so I'd just like to mark the 4,000th reply with a heartfelt thanks to everybody who has contributed by generously posting their pictures so that we can see how different, older lenses render pictures and to help us to choose which lenses or rendering to seek out.  Please keep posting your wonderful pictures!  I'll mark the passing of 4,000 posts by again posting the picture that started it all off.  Many thanks, Pete.  M9-P with 1946 Carl Zeiss Jena 85/2 Sonnar in Contax RF mount  Welcome, dear visitor! Adrian Lord Posted June 25, 2018 Share #3998  Posted June 25, 2018 (edited) The super-angulon 21mm f4 does not work properly on the M9 due to, I believe, the angle of incidence of the light rays to the pixels. Colour is very hard but if you convert to monochrome you can get odd but usable results if you decide to make a feature of the severe vignetting and blown central highlights... Welcome, dear visitor! farnz Posted June 25, 2018 Author Share #4000 Â Posted June 25, 2018 Hi, Alberto, Â A lovely picture. Â I'd be grateful if you'd post the actual picture here rather than a link to another website because a lot of members here are reluctant to click on links owing to the possibility that they might be spoofed (not your link of course) and lead to places they don't want to go. Â Also links can break when the host website is taken over or shut down. Â If you post your picture here then it will always be here to inform members and for members to enjoy. Â I hope you will keep posting your pictures! Â Pete.
