1946 Ford V8 Belly Tank or Streamliner hot rod at the 2025 Nostalgia Nationals at Santa Pod raceway.

M10-D, 1964 Leitz Canada 135mm f2.8 Elmarit. ISO 100, 1/90th sec, aperture somewhere between f/8 & f/11 (trying to keep the shutter speed between 1/60 and 1/100)

Belly Tank racers were made from WW2 surplus aircraft fuel drop tanks, remounted onto a pre-war car chassis.

Philip.

* According to J-L Princelle (p.247) the LTM J-12 has the factory designation Lz27 and was made in "Anodized Black Finish". I was slightly surprised to read this as it has all the appearance of being Black-Paint. Ever Day is a Schoolday!

Vintage flathead hot rod racing at Santa Pod Raceway, Nostalgia Nationals meeting 2025.

Forgot to change the camera settings after coming back from a walk around the pits but think it turned out OK in the end.

Furthest car is a 1930 Ford Model A with a vintage V8 flathead engine, the nearest is 1932 Ford Model 18, also with a vintage V8 flathead engine.

Last of these posts for now.

Last run of the day, around 19:30, for this vintage hot rod racer at the Santa Pod Nostalgia Nationals 2025.
