Summitar is #2 (the slight pincushion distortion gives it away).

The pictures below are from a lens that's perfectly calibrated but easily one of the most hard-to-focus ones that I own - at least wide open and close to the subject - due to it's ultra-thin DOF:

M10M + converted 193X Astro-Berlin Pan-Tachar 100/1.8, all wide open and with a good dose of contrast added in post

Hi William,

I started this thread as a picture thread rather than to host discussions or arguments about the various merits of vintage and modern lenses so would you very kindly start your discussion in another thread please?

Pete.

Hi Pete, Sorry I did not know where else to put it, I won’t do it again :)  hopefully it will be largely ignored. Cheers.

A couple from an unusual lens that was made in Wetzlar by Dr Hensoldt's company for the Italian ISO Reporter rangefinder camera (which the good doctor also sold in Germany rebranded as Henso Reporter, possibly to circumvent restrictions related to a patent dispute with Leitz).

M10M + converted 1954 Dr Hans Hensoldt Arion 50/1.9. Both wide open.
