this looks almost like medium format; is it because of no coating that makes it look like that? I've only used a (coated) elmar 5cm, never an uncoated one

I read that as a compliment. Thank you! I don't have much experience with uncoated lens. This is my first one and I don't use it for long so I'm not able to answer the second part of your sentence. The lens was sold as with "perfect glass" and this was (and hopefully will still be for long) true. The DNG processing was done through the simplest command-line utility ever wrote for this task (dcraw) so I don't think magic processing skills are to blame either. Let's blame the diffuse light! :)

Well, I cannot see any image. What should I be looking at?

The picture has been linked twice so click the arrow that appears when you mouse over it in the top right hand corner of the linked box in Jul's reply (directly above your post) and then do the same in the post that the clicked arrow takes you to.

Pete.

Canon LTM 2/35mm @ F2 on M9 with auto ISO and auto exposure +1/3 EV, White Balance set to 6400 K because this lens renders cool - don't know why. Converted from DNG in PS to how I remembered the scene.

Canon LTM 2/35mm @ F4 on M9 with auto ISO and auto exposure +1/3 EV, White Balance set to 6400 K. Converted from DNG in PS.

A lucky accident with an religious undertone. Sun just out of the frame. I'm using a hood from the Fujifilm X10 on this lens - works great.
