The M240 actually had less trouble to meter correctly with the rear protruding 28 Elmarit v1 than the M10 :

I have a Wetzlar Elmarit V1 as well. I suppose we are in the vast minority.

I have warmed up again to the 40mm focal length lately.

These are from a 2000 Pentax SMC 43/1.9 LTM on the M240 @ f/5.6

Darn it, Ecar, you've rekindled my desire for the special Pentax 43/1.9 SMC. 😄  I thought I had it under control.

Pete.

Well, I used to have two copies (both silver), but sold one through the Classifieds of this very forum a year ago or so 🙄. At a very attractive price, I should add...

It's a very sharp lens, but suffers from mild focus shift and is not easy to calibrate.

Here's a couple more on the M240. First one is wide open, second one @ f/5.6 or maybe f/8. Btw, there's no dust on the sensor - these are snowflakes caught mid-air...

Just a quick (boring) shot to illustrate the rendering of a collapsible 1947 coated CZJ Tessar 50/3.5 on the M10 (Contax mount with Amedeo adapter). Handheld @ MFD and f/3.5. Its pre-war, uncoated 50/2.8 and 50/3.5 brothers look very similar but produce an entirely different look - I'll try and post a couple of pictures when I can.
