90mm Summicron, first version, on digital camera.  This is an old (for California) building in Old Town, next to the river.

M9, Canon 1.2 LTM, 50mm.

Approached a large milkweed plant- previously thought to be a flower- that I now recognized in the back garden. Wife: "Stop! Monarch caterpillars!" followed by "How many times do I have to tell you to stop pulling things out of the garden without asking me first?" All I could do to restore my dignity was take a photograph.

Near 100% crop.

Lucky you!

Always cool when you get to see the caterpillars.  Milkweeds are flowers -- all sorts of pollinators feast on the nectar when they're in bloom.  Very beneficial to a whole bunch of pollinators (bees, wasps, butterflies, etc.), and absolutely critical to the survival of the monarchs.  Plant more!  I harvest the seed pods once they pop open every year and drop the seeds around (on our property, in wild spots, parks, urban wastelands, etc.).  Monarchs need all the help they can get.

Is it acceptable to upload pictures taken with Leica lenses on non-Leica cameras? I recently picked up an Epson R-D1 with a 1961 Summicron, and the quality is really quite something.

Yes, it is. It suffices if either the lens or the camera is a Leica.
