I had to mix parts of a 22228 (bayonet cut for the M6) and of a 22228 L.C. to use my ROM R lenses on the M240 when it came out.

I had mine modified by Will van Manen; he milled part of the flange, however the vignetting on the Vario-Elmar 105-280, especially with the 1.4x extender, made it barely usable.

Dear Leica users that wrote in this thread, Luigi Crescenzi here. It are years that I am absent from the Leica Forum... Well, here I am again. Please, TRUST to me: such R to M Leica rings, engraved L.C. in red, are all GENUINE Leica rings, made in a serious batch ONLY for me, upon a my special, insisted order ! In Leica, most answers are actually issued by unexpecienced, perhaps too joung peoples, and even to ME, years ago, they pretended that the ring was a Novoflex one ! Too bad. I don't need such an admission by Leica. It is simply the TRUTH. Regards, Luigi (probably, I could still find the original invoice for them...) - Ah, my half cases for the new Leica CL, that I call CLD, are ready !  :-)
