Louis Posted January 2, 2017 Share #1 Posted January 2, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) For my first set of 2017, despite a bad hangover, I decided to try something new – new, at least for me! With T hung on my neck, Vario Elmar-T 18-56 on it; and, my IPhone in my hands, I went for my first walk of the Year, taking a few shots through the camera WIFI, paired with my IPhone. It was actually fun. I also found it quite practical for street photography. Something to explore farther, for sure.

euston Posted January 2, 2017 Share #2 Posted January 2, 2017 Very interesting technique, Louis, when you want to use the stealthy style of street photography. These are very good results. The first and last particularly appeal to me.
Louis Posted January 2, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted January 2, 2017 Very interesting technique, Louis, when you want to use the stealthy style of street photography. These are very good results. The first and last particularly appeal to me. Robert, thanks to your help, now I can pair my camera and my IPhone. And, it is really fun to shoot people while they think you are texting! LOL I even tried to see if I could shoot portraits with the camera so low; and, I think with a little more practice, it could, indeed, be possible. Welcome, dear visitor! aseancat Posted January 3, 2017 Share #6 Posted January 3, 2017 Love the B&W rendering, Louis! smooth yet contrasty tonal shifts than with the either in camera B&W film mode settings.

Louis Posted January 7, 2017 Author Share #11 Posted January 7, 2017 Great series, the reaction of the man in the last photo is particularly good! Regards Charles Charles, Thank you very much. I think the man in the last photo was wondering why I was facing him while texting, and not being aware that I was shooting him through my IPhone! As my camera was hanging from my neck, it was not very easy to place my body the way I could take a portrait. I guess I need some practice with some weird body movement if I want to shoot portraits with this technique! LOL
GLOBETROTTER Posted January 9, 2017 Share #12 Posted January 9, 2017 Fantastic the picture with the cops. Interesting way to shoot thru the movie phone.....it allows to go further on street in some situations. Nice B&W.
Louis Posted January 9, 2017 Author Share #13 Posted January 9, 2017 Fantastic the picture with the cops. Interesting way to shoot thru the movie phone.....it allows to go further on street in some situations. Nice B&W. Thanks very much. It is indeed much fun too. Another way of being "transparent"; but it needs some practice to frame right. Sometimes, you have to make some weird movements and have weird positions of your body! All the best,
