I am thinking about selling 35 lux and get the cron but cannot make decision.  All are my favorite. 50 lux is best for portrait, 28 Elmarit is very sharp and high contrast and the 35 lux is very solid. I am also like the weight and size of the 28 Elarit so much but I find it is too wide for my street photo style.  Anyone used to have the same dilemma as me?  Please do not suggest to keep both. I am also thinking about 75 or 90 I have the 4th 35f2 and it's the smallest M lens ever made, do correct me if I'm wrong. It's sweet on film and digital. I went to India for 7.5 weeks and took only this lens + M6 and a big bag for film. It was perfect for my travel needs. Â I also have the lux and like it, but it's a beast. dpitt Posted December 28, 2016 Share #5  Posted December 28, 2016 I have the 4th 35f2 and it's the smallest M lens ever made, do correct me if I'm wrong...Actually I think the 40mm Summicron - C is a bit smaller and lighter, but some do not consider this a real M lens. So you might be right. At the OP. If you do not need the extra stop for low light and smaller DOF, then the Summicron is the better solution. So it is not insane to think about selling it and buying a 35mm Summicron and an other lens for the same money. IMO, since you have only ASPH, very sharp lenses, why not try one of the older Summicron 35mm? A V4 Summicron 35mm would bring a totally different way of drawing to the table, together with small size....  Just my two cents.

On digital I've been wanting a little more detailing. Only issue is that the prices are creeping up. Â Â Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If so, the Summicron 35/2 asph is made for you. I have no experience with the current version though. The previous one is a bit bulkier than your 28/2.8 asph but it shares the same hood as the latter. Also the previous 35/2 asph is as contrasty as your 50/1.4 asph and 28/2.8 asph. But some copies of it (not mine) may suffer from focus shift according to some good colleagues here. I would try this lens before ordering it or i would make sure that the current version has no focus shift issues.
