lucerne Posted December 25, 2016 Share #1 Posted December 25, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm considering a move from M9-P to 240 M-P. Currently I fit a 2 diopter correction lens to suit my vision. Will that correction lens fit the 240. The specification mentions an adjustment range of +-3 diopters. Is that inbuilt, or simply the facility for the supplementary lens. Thanks, and merry Christmas or Happy Chanukah.

Stealth3kpl Posted December 25, 2016 Share #2 Posted December 25, 2016 Yes. If it works on your M9 it'll work on your M 240. Pete

That is just advising you on the range of diopter Leica makes available. I move mine back and forth (and a 1.4 magnifier) between the M9 and M240 all the time.[emoji319][emoji319]

I managed to lose my additional eyepiece while I was out shooting, with its diopter and a nice rubber eyecup. Only realised an hour later when I couldn't understand why I wasn't seeing my subject clearly. Traced my route backwards and found the assembly in the middle of a road, with cars running over it. Managed to get it back into shape. What reasons would you give for keeping both the M9 and the 240? My reason for the upgrade is to match the IQ output of the M240 with my Q, but also bring my great leica lenses back into use. It might mean losing the M9. lawman Posted December 25, 2016 Share #5 Posted December 25, 2016 To each his own of course- I kept both because I like the ccd look of the M9 - especially with my older lenses. I also want a camera should I ever have to send one back to leica for service. And finally the money I could get for the m9 is not enough to part with it[emoji51]
