Advertisement Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Hi lambroving, Take a look here I love my MP. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
mwilliamsphotography Posted January 24, 2007 Share #102 Posted January 24, 2007 Just a note to repeat what I've said before: I love my Leica MP. Thanks. Allan Me 3. Ahhh, the heft of it. For years I've used black Ms for work, and this MP3 is for "Me" work, so I chose classic silver 'cause it looks like a M3. Retro 50/1.4 ASPH to keep it consistant. I always wondered why some people dis the idea of liking beautiful industrial design (i.e., fondlers) ... if you have an aesthetic eye, why wouldn't you love beautifully functional things? abrewer Posted January 24, 2007 Author Share #104 Posted January 24, 2007 @fotografz such a wonderfull photo! Ditto. Great shot Marc. There are a number of well-composed "product" photos on this thread...maybe Leica might take a look??? We've been touting the virtues of that 50ASPH for a couple of years now. It is special. Here's one of my faves...on the MP, of course...not as good as anything Ron can do, but pretty good for a piker like me: Not trying to influence you or anything Dan... Thanks. abrewer Posted February 8, 2007 Author Share #105 Posted February 8, 2007 No new MP pics in two weeks? My, what has happened to us! I may have to take some more of my own camera to keep this thread alive. Not that there's anything wrong with that.... Thanks. Allan
luigi bertolotti Posted February 8, 2007 Share #106 Posted February 8, 2007 Yea, MP is REALLY beautiful, from each point You can view from: I continue with M4 mainly for, seems a silly thing but not so much, appreciate sometimes the self-timer....and the old external selftimer I have (APDOO, oh the poetry of old "five-letter-codes"!) damn fits only the old LTMs... flavio Posted February 9, 2007 Share #107 Posted February 9, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) My camera is a M4 with the venerables 50 Summicron and (just today arrived) 21 Super Angulon f:3.4. I would love add one M3 and one MP. Beside money problems, I wonder how much time I will use those wonderful tools, before films will become so rare and most slide developer labs will disappear. Maybe just a (sad) state of mind, but my usual lab (a professional one and maybe the bigger in my region) appear to be in not so good health. M8 is probably the same shape and dimension (maybe not at all), but it is another concept. Faster, but not the same feeling yet. Flavio

lambroving Posted February 10, 2007 Share #111 Posted February 10, 2007 Unfortunatley I have to sell mine, but I LOVE IT anyway. You have to sell it so that you can now take plastic images? Most people who sell Leicas later regret it. An M8 is no MP. Suggest you proceed with caution.
meatboy Posted February 10, 2007 Share #112 Posted February 10, 2007 Here's my MP, with 50mm cron looking from the business end. She needs a 35mm ASPH! Yes that is white tape, a bit of strap protection! Hmm, frame counter is on 17 - I better do something about that! Welcome, dear visitor! PS: Apologies that this image was not taken with a Leica - but a Leica is the subject, does that get me a pass?
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Today there's a hype about digital cameras, but tomorrow you'll seek a film M. You'll remmeber your black MP and the sessions you had with her.
