Julian H Posted November 17, 2016 Share #1  Posted November 17, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Somewhat lower down the scale from some other accidental lens purchase threads recently, last weekend I went to London in the hope for picking up a v1 35mm 'lux ASPH. Arriving at one of my favourite shops, Aperture I looked in the display case and could not see what I wanted but did notice a big beast on the shelf below the Leica stock.  Yes, a 35 f1.2 mk2 Nokton was sitting there. Hmm, interesting so I asked to have a play. I am not adversed to Voigtlander lenses having owned a 50 f1.5 ltm in the past and currently having a 40 f1.4 [which the Leica 35 is intended to replace]. The build quality of the 1.2 is beautiful, better still than my previous Voigtlanders. Taking a few snaps in the shop and a quick chimp and zoom in on the screen confirmed I had to buy this lens. Beautiful rendition and lovely luminous colours.  It will not be my only 35, of that I am sure, but I sure am delighted to have this in my arsenal.  I can't wait for when I go to Venice for a few days soon. I hope to get some great photos.

erl Posted November 19, 2016 Share #5 Â Posted November 19, 2016 I bought a Voigtlander 15mm Ver111 about an hour before leaving for Spain, Portugal and Morocco last month. Probably the best value purchase I have ever made. I think I used it 80% of the time during my 3 week travel. It sits best on my Sony A7s but still sings on the M9 and M7. It has given me a new set of eyes!
