M8 more prone to getting dirty?

This question may seem completely weird but I have seen a couple of M8s with some dust accumulation wherever you would expect dust to accumulate(ie mostly in the edges near the lens mount and the back plastic part) despite being otherwise in excellent shape. I am wondering if the M8 is more prone to catch dust than the M6, possibly because of the different type of material used for the covering (this is the only rational explanation I can think of). I cannot imagine that there would be remnants of glue catching the dirt.

Any idea?

I have noticed a large accumulation of dust at the intersection of the hot shoe and the lower level where the shutter speed dial and shutter release are, right at that 90° point.

I must say it is more then I see on my M3 at that point and it seems I clean it off every day or 2.

Mine has it in exactly the same place.

I've noticed that to, between the shutter dial and the hot shoe seem to be the collection point, apart from the sensor which seems to be the biggest dust magnet of all. No matter what I do within a day of cleaning their back!. :rolleyes:Never had such a problem like this before,

Most likely because the camera has more electronics in it than predecessors. The positive electronic charge can attract dust. That's why it's good practice to turn the camera off when changing lenses - the charged sensor will attract more dust. This true of any digital camera.
