Jeffry Abt Posted November 7, 2016 Share #1 Posted November 7, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is there an adapter that I could use on the SL that would allow me to my favorite Nikon lens- AF Nikkor 85mm f/1.4D IF? I am fine with manual focus.
Advertisement Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Hi Jeffry Abt, Take a look here SL & Nikon adapter. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
tpf1952 Posted November 7, 2016 Share #2 Posted November 7, 2016 If you don't mind doubling up on adapters, there is a way. Novoflex makes a Leica M to Nikon F adapter, LEM/NIK-NT. If you happen to have a Leica "M-ADAPTER L" 18771, you are good to go. If you have any number of M lenses, sooner or later you have to get the M Adapter L. Sometimes they're hard to come by, but between E-bay and ordering online from a Leica store in Germany, you can get them. I have not yet acquired the Novoflex Leica M to Nikon F adapter, but it's on my list. I have a older Nikon 85 PC lens that I can't let go. No need to double up. I have one. They're also going to release an AF adaptor for E mount Nikkor lenses. Gordon

Since you are using the older version of the 85mm and not the G which does not have Aperture settings you can get by with a less expensive adapter if that is desirable. Sandokan Posted November 8, 2016 Share #5 Posted November 8, 2016 The Nikon-G adaptor has a ring which turns to stop down the aperture. With a D lens, the normal Nikon adaptor allows you to set the aperture directly on the lens. Both are available in SL to F mount.
