A 1959 Elmarit 90/2.8 (LTM)

I really like the subtle rendering this lens gives, and it doubles as a close-up/macro lens

@evikne Great as always. King of child photography within LUF forum.

Also thank you for Lux 75 samples. I was contemplating the purchase of this lens but from your samples it seems quite "nervous" in OOF rendering. Maybe Cron 75 is a better option. There are also cheap Color Heliar 75 2.5 and 7artisans 75 1.25 options but I'm afraid the rendering is not so vivid and with less POP. 7Artisans seems quite vivid and dreamy but I'm not sure if it is enough sharp at ~F2 to F4... shall ask in  thread related to 75mm lenses.😅

Thank you!

I don't quite think that nervous backgrounds is what the 75mm Summilux is best known for. Most pictures show the opposite. But sunlit leaves is probably one of the most difficult challenges in that respect. This is probably also enhanced by some overall use of Clarity in Lightroom. Sometimes I brush in Clarity only on the main subject, to avoid using it on the background, but I didn't here. But I agree that a more modern lens would probably handle such a background better.

Nervous backgrounds are not my experience with the 75 Summilux either. Maybe nervousness appears, if there are too many light reflections in the background, such as on @eviknes two images. In this case, any other fast lens might show similar results wide open.

Here is another example of the 75 Summilux, shot at f/1,4 with the M10-R.

I have found the Bokhe on the 75 Lux smooth and silky. Even with foliage in the Background this is about as bad as I have seen
