Hey folks:

I have joined this ace Leica forum today and it's super informative so thanks for letting me in and I know I will be able to source so much valuable information from you guys

I have been a big fan of Leica for over a year now (I also recently own the M6 and M9) – the files the Q produces for me are so so good, even the Jpegs are just sublime and have such beautiful tones that give that ‘film’ like image which I love. It was gamble to use this at a wedding with only 2 days of purchasing but I loved every second of it. I must have shot 80% of the day with it and I shot most of the wedding the day after with it too.

I have now started to couple up the 'Q' with the M9 using 50mm 2.0 Summilux at weddings and that combo has been a massive game changer for me

So although it's not by best wedding in really flat light ( I live in Manchester UK ;)) here’s a few frames from just the Leica Q so the time is near to ditch all my 'weighty' Canon gear.

Thank to Ben and the chaps at Leica Manchester for hooking me up and for featuring this wedding on their blog - absolute stars!!

Please go on easy on me too folks ;)

Stunning in many ways.  Choice of focus target show a perfect understanding of the Q, it's AF points/Manual focus/Sheer magic!

Compositions are creative and exciting.

Not sure how your did the movement of points of light while the people are captured in time, But Really Neat!

Thanks so much Sonoma, you words means a lot - too kind man!!

For the 'movement shots', I dragged the shutter and froze subject in the frame using the Leica SF 40 flash on top of the Q!!

Thanks agin for your comment!!

Wow.  Great pictures.  Next time someone posts "should I get the Q?"....we should just refer them to these pictures.  I loved them all.

thanks so much for your kind words - means a lot buddy!!

Some really great shots and if I still did weddings I would use it alongside the fuji X-Pro-2 with the 56/1.2 or 35/1.2 . This is the combo that I now carry every day

That's the plan buddy although at the moment I am enjoying using it with the M9 and the 50mm 2.0, I do need the 85mm focal length though so will buy that 56 1.2mm I think !!

Amazing work, nicely done! If that's the "practise run" after two days of ownership, then do post some when you get the hang of it!

Can you describe a bit further what you meant by "dragging the shutter"?

Expose for existing light & shoot with flash ie slow sync.. or?
