hi brent...

looks like ship of polution distributing it on and on :)) good

what is it - power station rite?

oh, those talks that car polute.. how eassy it is to blame only cars. well eassy and they can change things on the next model of cars or next generation of crs. but real polution is this - the heavy indusrty, only that they are more powerful and also not so eassy and cheap to change.

anyway, here is the basics on the consumer end.

Victor--Yes, it is a power station and one that it was recently discovered was putting out huge amounts of particulate polution. Of course, there are houses all around it full of kids.

Great shot of the light fixture. It almost seems to be dangling from some kind of swirling gas.

Moss Landing Power Plant. Each year the local boat owners in the harbor are given payment in compensation for the soot that is dropped on their boats by the plant.

Any room in the discussion for deconstruction ... no use running away from it. ;)

hi kurt, of course it adds to discussion. constructions are inherent part of our cultural and visual landspapes and what we do with earth etc...

everything that comes to your mind :) please participate everybody and take pics :))

--------------------------------

generally, scientists say that we have about 10 years room to improve things. ok, maybe there is a little politics in it (pressure on public opinion etc, but that is more than ok in the case). while industry leaders can make their industries more "green" and earth friendly with time, individuals can put their contributions too

what can be done by individual persons:

reduction in use of energy related things as much as possible. for example, a little more bicycles or public transport when possible.

and trees trees tress. it helps alot. 200 trees are needed for each avarge western-civilized person to equal the dirt he/she makes :)) green is very important, it balances back a little bit

here are some more fotos from me...

Well, I have no industrial shots ... and I normally don't post pictures here because you guys are all too good. Since I discovered this thread in the "review about a reviewer" thread, I'm throwing in my two cents anyways. LOL

that photo was taken on the "autobahn" (something like a highway) last november near Karlsruhe.

And of course the weather is realy fine, all days like this :-(

I often thought I should take some photos of the environment here in town,

would be a nice project.

Things who are boaring to me may be nice for others...
