This is an image that previously I've only processed in B&W but, now, using the Cobalt Image profiles, I've been able to produce a color version that I like.

Thank you, everyone, for the photographs: I'm seriously considering buying this lens for use on my X-Pro3 with a Metabones adaptor. Has anyone any experience of this lens with an adaptor and, in particular, with a Metabones adaptor?

I've had numerous M camera bodies, both film and digital, but I am unable to see the 28mm frame-lines due to needing spectacles. I can just-about use the 35mm frame-lines but eventually I give up and buy something other than Leica. My hope is that Leica eventually change the viewfinder of the M to allow spectacle wearers access to the 28mm frame-lines or, produce a full-frame mirrorless camera with the M form factor. Not wanting to start an argument here, I'm just after information about Metabones. Thanks for any help.

Sorry to hear about your predicament.

I have an X-Pro2 and the Fuji M adapter. I've never attached the Summaron but there is no reason to think it wouldn't work. I can give it a test tomorrow if that can help.

Thanks Ian, that would be useful, although the Fuji adaptor is out of stock everywhere I have looked. The Metabones adaptor is in stock at Wex, and seems to be a quality product.

Also, thank you for posting so many (inspiring) photographs taken with the lens.

Hi Mike,

Thank you so much for your kind comments! It is a great lens.

So I went out for a quick walk this evening with the Summaron attached to my XPro-2 using the Fuji M adaptor. I don't know the Metabones myself but I've never seen anything bad written about it. I was afraid that with the sensor crop, it would cut off the wonderful vignetting which is - for me - so much of the character of this Summaron, but it does come through somewhat. Of course the crop factor turns the 28mm into a 42mm (IIRC). Anyway, here is a selection of jpegs straight out of the camera using the Classic Chrome simulation, let me know if you need some more and/or the RAW files, I'll send you a wetransfer.
