StS Posted September 3, 2016 Share #4 Posted September 3, 2016 Excellent set, I would assume, that the first one was picked, which is the most professional looking (but also least interesting). We all tend to be more stereotypical on the professional level. The last two are softer, more personal. Simply as a matter of taste, I probably would have processed the third one a tad warmer, in terms of the colour temperature. Stefan

sblitz Posted September 3, 2016 Share #6 Posted September 3, 2016 you are a lucky man Stu! All shots are wonderful, for Linkedin I suspect shots #1 and #3 are best --#4 looks like a good one to give to her romantic interest (how's that for 2016 language rather than presuming "boy friend" :-) )
A miller Posted September 4, 2016 Share #7 Posted September 4, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) IMO, 3 is clearly the best and most suitable for any kind of professional head shot.

MEB Posted September 5, 2016 Share #9 Posted September 5, 2016 Stu Excellent photos of a very pretty young woman. I agree that #3 should be warmed up a little. My personal favorite is the last one. Mark
leica dream Posted September 6, 2016 Share #10 Posted September 6, 2016 I would definitely pick No 1 - just gives the impression of an alert and decisive person.

stuny Posted September 7, 2016 Author Share #12 Posted September 7, 2016 I've rebalanced two of the photos: Welcome, dear visitor! fotografr Posted September 8, 2016 Share #13 Posted September 8, 2016 The 2nd of the re-balanced portraits is a clear winner in my opinion. The 1st one is too straight on and exaggerates the size of her neck.
stuny Posted September 8, 2016 Author Share #14 Posted September 8, 2016 Brent - Thank you. That might be my favorite.
hoppyman Posted September 8, 2016 Share #15 Posted September 8, 2016 Hi Stuart, for my two cents the 3rd image is most appealing for a networking/corporate type application and I prefer the different WB version that you posted last. Were it mine for that application I might consider some 'beauty' and 'attention catching' retouching. Many many options and opinions on developing the photos of course and I think that we each look through our own prism on style there. brill64 Posted September 9, 2016 Share #17 Posted September 9, 2016 #2 is my favorite.
A miller Posted September 9, 2016 Share #18 Posted September 9, 2016 Stuart - This is not even close. The third (now second) is better by a mile. She actually looks good in the second. She looks like she just checked out of a hostel in the first. "Big league" difference
hoppyman Posted September 9, 2016 Share #19 Posted September 9, 2016 Geoff - Thank you. What would you suggest? Stuart that gets into everyones individual style of course. I commented because I had recently made some corporate style photos and photos for castings with a couple of friends. Very few photos get looked at for more than a few seconds. For a little more attention holding I might aim for making an image a little brighter and with a little more contrast (curve). Adding Pop in other words. Retouching wise I routinely do beauty type adjustments- not meaning to hijack your post though. I am happy to chat separately if you wanted.
