jaapv Posted August 26, 2016 Share #1  Posted August 26, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) This little fellow was found in a plastic bag in the street in Portugal. He grew up to be the most affectionate, wise and courageous dog I ever knew.. Now after only nine years we just learnt that cancer is claiming him, just a few weeks to live. We took him to the beach he loves, the last time he'll be able to make it. He spent his time watching the sun move down, then cuddled up to me and went to sleep, completely happy. Farewell, my best friend, we'll make the most of your last days...   Welcome, dear visitor! XVarior Posted August 26, 2016 Share #7 Â Posted August 26, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) You put tears to my eyes knowing that he's leaving. But, at the same time, I'm smiling because you gave him 9 extra formidable years of good life by rescuing him. You did so well. Enjoy his presence as long as it lasts and take as many captures of your friend as you can. Â Â www.rodriguezahr.com

I'll be devastated when the silly mutt in my avatar goes ...... I have always thought about that too. Sometimes I ask myself why I keep having pets and got devastated after their death. When they go I promise myself not to do it again but I always do it again:-)Â Â The XVarior
albert Posted August 27, 2016 Share #13 Â Posted August 27, 2016 The right words are impossible. You are good. Your friend is good. Dogs got a bad deal in the longevity market. I am sad for you

This one was taken on his last walk today, he is in a good place I hope, with plenty of love, chewy bones, fluffy toys and friends to play with. Wayne Posted September 4, 2016 Share #19 Â Posted September 4, 2016 It is strange, the power and gifts of a dog. When I had to say farewell to my golden, Jack, I broke down like never before, or since. You have done a brave and selfless thing. For me, Jack's passing resulted in my seeing him in every dog I encounter. To know a dog is to know all dogs. A true blessing, they are...Every one of them. jaapv Posted September 4, 2016 Author Share #20 Â Posted September 4, 2016 He was so brave... He let us know when his time was up, and I am convinced that he knew what was happening. Yet he walked up to the Vet with his tail wagging and fell asleep leaning against me....
