Jeff S Posted September 2, 2016 Share #101 Posted September 2, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) If that means a fix, and not an entirely new lens, then I would hope that Leica would revise their policy that now only provides service after a lens fails. That would tell me a lot about Leica...either way. Jeff
Advertisement Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Hi Jeff S, Take a look here Yet again another Leica disappointment . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Georges Posted September 2, 2016 Share #102 Posted September 2, 2016 If that would be true, it is a solution for the system and it will build trust for new buyers. The drawback is that all the old lenses (with plastic AF) will be worth 1,000 bucks a piece. And one day Leica will stop the free fixing of the faulty ones. Bill W Posted September 2, 2016 Share #103 Posted September 2, 2016 I doubt that Leica would stop fixing a faulty lens. A recall would be the way to go or at least give us the option to send in our lens now or wait for one to fail. As stated, a little communication at this point would really help. Georges Posted September 2, 2016 Share #104 Posted September 2, 2016 Leica has always been great in producing top glass, ..... ........ not in hiring top communication experts (remember the R10 disaster) !
