Actually, there are 2 (Two) 180mm F2 Summicrons: #11271 & #11354 ROM. Both were made for Leica R's but can also be used today on either a (Current) SL or an M240. My mate at the Leica store in KL is trying to see if he can get a compatable price to what I can get in the UK after the VAT is removed......... If not I will get one shipped from FFordes. It is a great lens, Leica is better at 180mm than any manufacturer, the S version is superb, the equivalent of the 180 2.8 Apo R. For portraits you might want to check near focus, there is a close up attachment that may be necessary for your needs. Andrea did tell me that it might be possible to adjust this in Wetzlar but I haven't sent either of my lenses over yet. The 1.4 x Apo extender will not fit into the 180 Summicron and so I can't use the same trick as I use for infinity focus on the 280/4. Michael Leibfritz told me not to use the 2x Apo extender on the S. With my German and his English, we didn't establish why. I suspect that it may be mirror clearance as the rear element of the 2x APO sticks out more. This is why I still have my 2 DMRs - specifically to use the 180 Summicron for shooting gigs.
