Herr Barnack Posted September 8, 2016 Share #42  Posted September 8, 2016 A shot from last weekend with Elmar-M on M(240)  That is a terrific image! It makes me wonder about image quality when comparing the Elmar M vs. the earlier Elmar #11 612 which I own.  Is there a significant difference between the two? lct Posted September 8, 2016 Share #43 Â Posted September 8, 2016 Compared to your 11612, the last Elmar has more contrast and color saturation, less flare and is also sharper at f/2.8. The lens barrel does not turn when focusing but there is no focus knob unless you can find a (rare) copy for the M6J.
