Stonewall Brigade Posted August 2, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 2, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Greetings to the Leica Forum members. This is my first post here, as I have returned back to Leica ownership by purchasing Leica's bundled kit comprised of the M (TYP262), Summarit-M 50mm f/2.4 lens, SF40 flash & soft case. The bundled kit gave a great savings of approx. $2,000 over pricing everything separately. Love the camera and the Summarit's superb images. My first entry into Leica film cameras included of bodies like the CL, Leicaflex, R and M bodies some years ago, and I recently owned and enjoyed a digital X Vario. Now with the M 262 and my first 6-bit Summarit lens, I'm already thinking about one wider lens (probably the Summarit-M 35mm f/2.4), and one longer lens (Summarit-m 75mm f/2.4) If it add those two other lens choices, I will have filled up my camera bag and spent more than I want to think about! Cheers. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! sblutter Posted August 2, 2016 Share #3 Posted August 2, 2016 Congrats! Sounds good - for greater differences from the 50... 28 & 90? Personally, I use a 50 90% of time. Maybe master that for a while and question yourself what really need next for your style / interests. Just sayin', no rush - tho I certainly understand the flush of enthusiasm! trequartista Posted August 2, 2016 Share #4 Posted August 2, 2016 Got the same bundle, great stuff and acceptable price. Don't like the bag that much to be honest. Doesn't feel tight and you can't place your camera like in a ONA bowery

Stonewall Brigade Posted August 10, 2016 Author Share #9 Posted August 10, 2016 I've added the Summarit-M 75mm f/2.4 and the Elmarit-M 28mm f/2.8 ASPH (and have the Summarit-M 50mm f/2.4 lens that came with the kit). Now I need a larger bag! The photographic quality of the images is amazing, as I knew it would be. So much beautiful color and contrast, tonality and near to far sharpness. A little challenging to pursue my favorite summertime flower macro photography, (compared to my usual use of Olympus and Fuji macro lens), but I'm learning how to frame with the Summarit 75mm and crop with Capture One. Also, the more narrow depth of field with the full frame Leica (compared to my 2x Olympus PEN-F) requires a new learning curve. But I really love the image results of the Leica. Regards.
