fotografr Posted July 2, 2016 Share #2 Posted July 2, 2016 Lovely photo and sentiment. We should be planting milkweed wherever possible. We used to have hoards of monarchs visiting our gardens. Now they're a rare sight.

pico Posted July 3, 2016 Share #5 Posted July 3, 2016 Lovely photo and sentiment. We should be planting milkweed wherever possible. We used to have hoards of monarchs visiting our gardens. Now they're a rare sight. Agreed, and we have the same diminishing numbers of monarchs here. My mate lets milkweed volunteers grow wherever they take root. war Posted July 3, 2016 Author Share #7 Posted July 3, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks Pico. Yes the reduction here the last couple years has been dramatic, but there has been a lot of planting and we're hoping for an improvement.
pico Posted July 3, 2016 Share #8 Posted July 3, 2016 I will consult with my wife who is the expert and has possibly found pesticide spraying in the Monarch's migration area. I do not want to move forward with such a claim without more information. If we find credible information, I will post it. .
