lutrungviet Posted July 2, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 2, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, does anyone got annoying issue like me after I upgrade fw from 2.0.2.5 to 2.0.3.0 and the LCD turns very yellowish (even in black and white mode I still cannot receive and true black and white image on the camera LCD but something very annoying yellowish). Of course when putting the files onto the computer it is true black and white but the yellowish issue on the LCD after upgrading the new FW is very annoying. I'm looking for a downgrade option, does anyone here help me with the fw file 2.0.2.5 for Leica M-P typ 240. Thanks a lot.
Advertisement Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Hi lutrungviet, Take a look here M-P240 yellowish LCD after update FW 2.0.3.0. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted July 2, 2016 Share #2 Posted July 2, 2016 It is not a common complaint, nor is it likely to be a firmware issue. I don't think a downgrade is possible. Best to contact Leica.
lutrungviet Posted July 2, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted July 2, 2016 But the LCD wasn't that yellowish when I was using the fw 2.0.2.5 so I guess that's a fw issue problems.
Exodies Posted July 2, 2016 Share #4 Posted July 2, 2016 If it was a firmware problem wouldn't it be very common?
edwardkaraa Posted July 2, 2016 Share #5 Posted July 2, 2016 I have noticed the same with the 262 and latest firmware. It's just a minor annoyance though.
Steve Ricoh Posted July 2, 2016 Share #6 Posted July 2, 2016 it would have been so simple to engineer, but unfortunately the design does not allow a lower sequence number of S/W to be installed over a higher version. For diagnostic reasons alone, it would have been really useful for both the user and the company. (I wouldn't be surprised if the manufacturer has the ability to load any version, but not the user.) My own camera has .2.5 loaded and having read the latest issues I'm thinking 'leave it'. As they say 'if it's not broken why fix it' in the sense that .3.0 offers very little benefits - much less if the camera has to go away for a holiday. Just think, film cameras don't have these problems, makes a film MP really appealing!
lutrungviet Posted July 3, 2016 Author Share #7 Posted July 3, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anyone still keep the FW file 2.0.2.5 please send it for me. It would be appreciated. My mail: lutrungviet<at>gmail.com Thanks guys.
jaapv Posted July 3, 2016 Share #8 Posted July 3, 2016 Once again, you would not be able to downgrade. The camera will not accept a lower firmware number.
