Echo63 Posted June 29, 2016 Share #1  Posted June 29, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) a few pics from a recent walk through Kings Park with the most backwards, difficult to use macro rig on the planet. M240, Olympus 28 f2.8 on OM-M adapter, diy extension tube, Yongnuo YN14 ringflash. can get 1.1:1 macro with this rig, but the working distance is only a few cm, add in a lens that doesn't stay in the extension tube (made from body and lens caps - i really must add a locking mechanism) and a ring flash that doesn't mount to the lens (need to get a step down ring) makes it rather tricky to use. i really need to get a hood loupe to make it easier to see the rear screen too.  I am thinking of getting them printed on 40cm square canvases, and maybe offering them for sale too.  Welcome, dear visitor! war Posted June 30, 2016 Share #3 Â Posted June 30, 2016 Clearly worth the trouble you've gone through to get these images. The third one would be hard to beat.
Echo63 Posted June 30, 2016 Author Share #4  Posted June 30, 2016 Thanks Stuart.    Clearly worth the trouble you've gone through to get these images. The third one would be hard to beat.  This is what happens when i get an hour to walk around  (ok, maybe the location helped too, Kings Park is a public Botanic Garden in the city with a lot of different plants in close proximity)
Iduna Posted July 1, 2016 Share #5  Posted July 1, 2016 The series is excellent. I think all your effort pays off. You got that fine backlight shine and this gives depth to the blossoms. also the fine texture of those silky petals is being well defined. Fine work.
