Plus, you need the Safari experience in Feb. to 'gear you up', so to speak, for Spring. Jeff Edited December 8, 2016 by Jeff S
Advertisement Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Hi Jeff S, Take a look here Leica SL or Hasselblad X1D. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

The rumour site cited an event called a Fest der Fotographie in January and makes a guess that this will be an announcement of a new M - not even a "well founded source tells me that....", Hey ho. Rumors site uses many sources, which they don't typically divulge. They did say earlier that they've been receiving info on the M from multiple sources. Since the M9, they've been quite accurate with definitive statements like this one on the "M10". [With the Q, they actually previewed before launch, which they did advise.] We'll see if this adds....or detracts....from the track record. Jeff S Posted December 12, 2016 Share #886 Posted December 12, 2016 Regarding X1D delivery and testing, Kevin Raber posted this on the LuLa forum today (Sunday).... "On Friday I interviewed Perry and the Ove regarding shipping status of the X1D. I'll have an article finished in the morning on what's going on and what to expect. I took the X1D to Antarctica and have had a few weeks with it. It's a real nice camera. I just upgraded the firmware to the latest and shipping firmware. I will be completing my testing and will get a review started very soon. There is a lot to like about this camera and it will only get better. More sometime on Monday." Disappointing, frustrating and not what Santa promised. I don't understand why you're saying this when the post above, from Jeff, quotes from a report in which the final shipping firmware will be reviewed, which suggests we're quite close to shipping. We'll see, but August of 2017 sounds far-fetched to me, and since January was indicated a long while ago, what's the panic? Anyway, Santa's as healthy as ever. Stop worrying and go to bed early, you never know what he'll bring you...

Stop worrying and go to bed early, you never know what he'll bring you... No panic, just some disappointment. I have a deposit in with a HB Dealer who advised after speaking to HB last week that June 2017 is when to realistically expect to have one in my hands. He also advised that HB had shipped only 20 units for the whole of the UK in their 1st batch last week. Which to me means that I should not hold my breath, as much as I would like too. Cant sleep for counting SL oops, I meant reindeer....
Peter H Posted December 12, 2016 Share #890 Posted December 12, 2016 I'm surprised that as many as 20 have already shipped to the UK. I wonder whether we know any of the recipients...
Joshua Lowe Posted December 13, 2016 Share #891 Posted December 13, 2016 I'm curious about the X1D's panorama mode. If it's a suitable Xpan replacement that would be a big deal to me.
