Nice subject but difficult to compared colours with different overall exposures.

Very true. And both images come from PS, but with different ranges of adjustments. The scanned tiff is far less maleable for processing, while on the digital image, upon decreasing the overall exposure, it became over saturated for orange color. Nevertheless, a fun exercise for me.

I wasn't sure whether to post this one... highlights blew out etc but I kinda like the woman in the middle with her interesting jewellery and the people either side.

Did you try to tone down the offending whites?

I did... once I start editing any image I really struggle to identify if I have made it worse OR introduced a new issue with the image. I have been diving into the post processing sub forum.

What processing programme do you use? I find the histogram a useful aid in dealing with clipping.

I have studied your file. It is quite contrasty due to the variety of clothing. But taking your point of interest - the jewelry in the middle, I have cropped your image to concentrate on the middle person and her necklace, and applied a vignette., all aimed at emphasising your chosen parts. I feel the person on the left is too dominant and draws your eye away from the the jewellery. Hence my crop. (I did all this quickly in Snapseed, working with a tiny file

I've just realised that you might still have the raw file, before conversion, assuming that you captured the scene in both formats. Failing that, if you captured the scene in contrasty black and white,  that would account for the result. I will check my MP240  first.

Last Week in Hamburg.

Shot with a 90mm TTartisan 1:1,25

Very challenging lens. The focus ring is incredibly stiff.

I have ti experiment more with the lens and I will test the Leica 90 mm too.

But for my photography I am not sure if I see the difference.
