Tom Barry Posted April 17, 2016 Share #1 Â Posted April 17, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) These two nearly-fledged Great Horned Owl chicks remind me of bewigged British jurists looking stern, indeed, at some poor blighter in the dock. The pair are this Spring's annual brood by a pair of GHOs that nest annually at the entryway to the LBJ Wildflower Center in Austin, TX. Michael Hiles Posted April 18, 2016 Share #2 Â Posted April 18, 2016 Great shot. Looks like Judge Bullingham (From Rumpole).
Tom Barry Posted April 18, 2016 Author Share #3 Â Posted April 18, 2016 Thanks, Michael. Yes, and I think Rumpole here has just re-emphasized to Bullingham that he never pleads guilty - having been emboldened with a few lunchtime sips of Chateau Thames Embankment claret.. stuny Posted April 18, 2016 Share #5 Â Posted April 18, 2016 Terrific. We were lucky enough to see GHO adults and chicks in a slot canyon not far from Page, AZ.
fotografr Posted April 19, 2016 Share #6 Â Posted April 19, 2016 Beautiful shot. It's strange how they can look so old (around the eyes) and so young at the same time.
